That this sculpture looks like it was carved from a gnarled old piece of wood is a testament to the skill of the artist who created it. It’s actually made of ceramic.
Entitled Cycles of Decay, this awesomely deceptive sculpture was created by Bloomington, Indiana-based ceramicist Christopher David White. “Even on close inspection the knotted and twisting veins of the tree branch look almost exactly like old wood, take a closer look on his website.”
