As a gift for his lucky, Star Wars-loving son, DarthDaddy42 constructed one of the most incredibly awesome beds we’ve ever seen: The X-Wing Bed. It looks fantastic. The X-Wing starfighter sits above the actual bed and R2-D2 sits right behind the cockpit, which must guarantee good dreams. A remote control operate the wings, which can be positioned closed or open for attack mode. There’s a dvd player built into the cockpit with a tv screen mounted on the starfighter so the little Jedi can watch Star Wars before (or if he’s a particularly stealthy Jedi, after) bedtime. Too awesome for words.

We’ve got one question though: with a bed this exciting, how does this kid ever settle down long enough to fall asleep?
