Behold the complete and utter awesomeness that is Tradinno, a 51-foot-tall, 11 ton remote-controlled walking dragon robot with a 40 foot wingspan. Aside from scaring the pants off people simply by walking around, Tradinno also breathes fire using liquid gas stored beneath his polyurethane and glass-reinforced skin.

Tradinno’s name is a portmanteau of the words ‘Tradition’ and ‘Innovation’. Since 2010 he’s been part of a centuries-old German festival in the Bavarian town of Furth im Wald.

"Every August for the past 500 years, German festival goers come to the Bavarian forest to see a performance of the traditional folk play Drachenstich, or “Slaying of the Dragon.”

Speaking of dragon-slaying, in addition to fuel for his fiery breath, Tradinno’s body also holds 21 gallons of fake blood.”

"Tradinno isn’t the first giant dragon to grace the Drachenstich stage, but he is the first to be completely radio-controlled — prior festivals had a mechanical frame that was powered from the inside by 4 different people.”

Guinness World Records recently declared Tradinno the World’s Largest Walking Robot.
