Here’s one last awesome piece of anamorphic artwork for 2013. Artists Daniel Siering and Mario Shu wrapped a tree in Potsdam, Germany and then spray-painted it using a deceptively simple trompe l’oeil technique to make a large section of the trunk disappear. When viewed from the right direction, it appears that most of the tree is hovering in the air above its stump.
