Last year we introduced you to Zeus, an awesomely large and handsome Great Dane from Otsego, Michigan. Zeus weighs 155 lbs, measures 44 inches from foot to shoulder, and currently holds the Guinness World Record for World’s Tallest Dog.

Now we’d like you to meet Freddy, another awesomely large and handsome Great Dane. He lives in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, England with his sister Fleur and their doting human Claire Stoneman. Freddy is only 18 months old and already weighs 154 lbs and measures 41 inches tall. And he’s still growing, which means he may overtake Zeus and claim the record.

When Freddy stands on his hind legs he stands a towering 7 feet 4 inches tall. Claire takes him on nighttime walks so that other dogs won’t be scared by his size.

‘If he wants to run after a dog I wouldn’t be able to stop him,’ said Miss Stoneman, who is 5ft 4in tall.

He also eats $125 worth of dog food each week - plus the occasional roast chicken or peanut butter on toast as a treat.
