Today is the third and final day of the Emerald City Comicon here in Seattle, WA. The awesome vibe is still going strong and Archie McPhee is still proudly occupying booth #2013, doing our part to fan the flames of wonderful, whimsical geekery that permeate every corner of the Washington State Convention Center.

One of the happenings we promised would take place during ECCC was the opportunity to meet the Original Unicorn, and boy howdy, was that ever an awesome experience.  As you can see from the many images posted above, not only did people get to meet the Unicorn, people also hugged the Unicorn, communed with the Unicorn, and even danced with the Unicorn.

The Unicorn also met other completely awesome Unicorns. He even got to meet Lady Rainicorn from Adventure Time, which was a dream come true!

Then there was the unfortunate incident with the poor Star TrekRedshirt" on the worst away mission ever - accidentally stabbed by a unicorn when approaching for a simple hug. Life can be so cruel. Hilarious, but cruel.

There’s still a little time left to come over to booth #2013 and say hello. Unicorns, horses, anthropomorphic bacon characters and squirrels wearing underpants would love to meet you.

Romanian-born, London-based photographer Viorel Popescu captured this awesome image of an urban Unicorn in his photo entitled “At Night.”

Kozyndan, quite possibly our favourite artistic duo, have created this beautiful resin sculpture combining two incredibly awesome things. Entitled Rainbow Magic, it’s a Narwhal with a Secret Unicorn inside. Amazing! We’re pretty sure this fantastic object has actual magical powers.

One of 4 versions of our Narwhal sculpture we are debuting this friday at (oddly enough) Narwhal Gallery in Toronto this Friday, November 16th, 2012

We sure wish we were able to go see Kozyndan’s amazing Narwhal sculptures in person. If you’re in Toronto, please go take a peek for us.

Italian street artist ZED1 spent most of August livening up parts of Norway with some fantastic new murals that he painted in and around the country’s capital city of Oslo. ZED1 was invited to paint the city’s walls by the Norwegian urban collective Samtidskunst. We hope someone invites him to come paint the walls in Seattle next.

We love the anthropomorphic badgers, particularly the one riding a unicycle along a tightrope, but our favourite piece has got “Everybody wants to be special.” We suspect that a donkey spending time painting himself white while wearing a unicorn horn might just be a Secret Unicorn. He knows what’s in his heart.

Some Secret Unicorns drive incredibly awesome vehicles, like this vintage 1970s “SLAYER” van that’s covered in all sorts of wild murals. Be sure to check out the eBay auction to see many more photos. Can you believe the auction ended without a sale? The city of York, Pennsylvania is a richer place for having a van like this on its streets.

As far as sightings of our Unicorn Mask go, this one is pretty freaking fantastic.

Are you a Secret Unicorn? Do you crave cake? Then this stunning and completely edible creation might just be a dream come true for you!

We first encountered a single photo of this incredibly awesome “Rainbow Pegasus-Unicorn Mama & Baby Cake” over at Design You Trust, but without any sort of information about who made it. Thanks to Google’s reverse image search we were able to track down the source. This phenomenal cake was made by H. Sherman of Art2Eat Art Cakes in Boulder, Colorado.

H. Sherman, the Geyser of Awesome salutes you and your magical cake-making skillz! Despite the fact that we didn’t get to taste this awesome cake, you’ve still made an awful lot of Secret Unicorns happy today.
