Vik Muniz, an artist based in Brooklyn, New York, created a mesmerizing collection of artwork for his latest series entitled Pictures of Magazine 2, currently on display at Galerie Xippas in Paris. Vik used his keen eye and incredible skill to create intricate collages made of torn pieces from magazines that effectively recreate the likeness of nine well known paintings by renown artists.
Here you see Portrait of Adeline Ravoux, after Vincent Van Gogh and A Bar at Folies bergères, after Édouard Manet. The longer you look at them, the more you realize how complicated and impressive they are.
